Born and brought up in Joshimath, Bhyundar village and Ghangharia, 'Valley of Flowers' is like our backyard!!! With our countless visits to Valley of Flowers since our childhood, we are familiar with its every nook and corner. About Host Ajay Bhatt
Behind his easy demeanor and charming smile, is a kind and compassionate heart -- constantly helping the youth in exploring work opportunities in varied fields, supporting education for kids, caring for elders and families to help them improve their standard of living.
Extremely particular about the ecological issues, you will find Ajay very strict about preservation of natural resources and spreading awareness about environmental issues. Ajay is passionate about creating a positive impact on the society he lives in and devotes his time, effort and money in continuous progress of the locals. He is an active participant and member of Divya Drishti Charitable society and lends a helping hand in furtherance of several social activities such as health care, environmental conservation, awareness of natural disasters, cultural, educational and pilgrim programs, home stays and village tours. He often volunteers for activities such as free computer education program for kids, free medical camps, rescue operations, etc.
On personal front, Ajay received his Bachelors degree in Science from Dehradun University. Passionate about nature based activities, he soon moved his focus on skiing and mountaineering. His qualifications include Basic, Advance & MOI (Method of Instruction) in Skiing. He also runs his own business in mountaineering & adventure sports, viz. Himalayan Snow Runner, based in Joshimath.
Since 1994, Ajay has won several skiing championship trophies at various events including - Indian Olympic Association Winter Games, National Open Skiing Championships, National Winter Games, National Snowboarding championship, etc.
Currently he is a National Coach for India’s sub-junior skiing team. Ajay has also received Best Photographer Awards in Nature Category in year 2011 and in Wild life category in year 2013.
